If you experience side effects from your medications, tell your provider. Many side effects can be remedied by changing the timing or dose of your medicine or switching to a different drug in the same class. Do not stop taking any medication without first talking to your clinician.
In some cases, it may not be possible to completely avoid side effects. Try to weigh the impact of your side effects against the benefit of the drug. For example, fatigue is a common side effect of beta blockers. But that may be a worthwhile tradeoff for a drug that can help to reduce hospitalizations and improve survival.
